Every July, the charming town of Franschhoek transforms into a vibrant celebration of its French heritage during the annual Bastille Festival. This year Painted Wolf Wines stormed the Bastille! As winter blankets the valley, the streets come alive with the aroma of freshly baked baguettes and the cheerful sounds of accordion music. Colourful flags flutter in the crisp air, welcoming locals and visitors alike to join in the festivities. Gourmet food stalls offer delicacies, while wine enthusiasts sample offerings from the region’s renowned wineries. The spirited waiters’ race, a festival highlight, draws laughter and cheers from the crowd, while artisans showcase their crafts, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. As day turns to night, twinkling lights illuminate communal tables where friends and families gather, celebrating life, liberty and heritage.

Our participation in the Bastille Festival was not just about presenting our unique take on heritage – wines for conservation. Each bottle of Painted Wolf Wines not only delivers exceptional quality but also contributes to the preservation of African wild dogs and their habitats. Cheers to life and to liberty.
