Each month, we highlight one of the wonderful safari properties or restaurants that stock and support Painted Wolf. This month, it is the turn of Bayala Lodge.
Bayala is situated in Northern KZN within the 10,300 ha Zuka Private Game Reserve, which is part of the Munywana Conservancy, also home to Phinda Private Game Reserve. It is a Big 5 reserve and offers incredible game viewing opportunities in astonishingly beautiful surroundings. On a recent visit I, we had the privilege of spending well over an hour with two beautiful young male cheetahs.
The lodge is family-friendly, with a beautiful garden and a lovely pool. The rooms are traditional rondavels and have an old-fashioned, authentic bush feel. The food is well-cooked and delicious, and, of course, a highlight is the wine list, which features an extensive selection of Painted Wolf Wines.
