As spring kicked off this year, conservation leaders came together in Dinokeng for a landmark meeting to review the 2015 Regional Conservation Strategy for Cheetah and African Wild Dogs.
Among the participants were leading scientists Rosemary Groom, Cole Du Plessis, and Jessica Watermeyer, who joined colleagues from across Africa to assess progress and strengthen collaboration around two of the continent’s most endangered carnivores.
For us at Painted Wolf Wines, this work resonates deeply. The painted wolf — the African wild dog — is at the heart of our story, and each glass of wine shared helps us raise awareness and support for their survival.
We are proud to walk alongside the conservation community, and grateful to you — our loyal pack — for helping us ensure that these remarkable animals have a future in the wild.

Join us for our next Wine & Wildlife Chat where Painted Wolf Wines founder and winemaker Jeremy Borg sits down with Christina Hagen of BirdLife South Africa. Christina leads vital work in African Penguin conservation, and together they’ll explore the challenges these charismatic seabirds face and the inspiring efforts to secure their future.
Pour yourself a glass, tune in, and be part of an evening where wine meets wildlife, and stories of conservation come to life.
